Colt watched as the two girls talked to each other. Mami seemed to have calmed down a bit, but he couldn't really tell from his distance. He looked at the shroomish on his shoulder. "We'll bring you back over to her once they are done talking, don't worry... Cob, was it?" Colt patted the shroomish on its head.

Arietta raised a brow, "So? If your mother died for your sake it doesn't mean your life was elongated unnaturally, it just means she was protecting her baby. It doesn't mean your life is unnatural at all." Arietta petted her head soothingly, "Your mom sacrificed herself to ensure that her baby girl could live a long full life filled with joy and happiness. You should honor your memories of her, she loved you and wouldn't want you sad like this."

Bob didn't say a word to Colt, he only glared at the bow... what was he? An ear of corn or something? It wasn't like he could provide his proper name to the human, not as things stood. Tome walked up to them, Nina lookin rather tired as she clung to the Ursaring. the large animal glared at Arietta... she made Mami cry. The Ursaring growled, moving forward. Bob's eyes open wide, surprised at what Tom was planning to do, the shroomish squawked at Colt rapidly, hoping the human would try to talk the large pokemon from doing what he obviously wanted to do.
Mami looked at Arietta, shaking her head, "She was kind and sweet and strong, and I'm not, she had other kids besides me to look after," she said, not able to accept that death was okay, she just couldn't handle that. "I should have drowned that day, not her... She shouldn't have tried to protect me from the rapids," she said, the bark of her tree biting into her skin, but she didn't care in the least.

"Ha, that actually could be him, he always was a cheapskate," he said, although he had to wonder just how strong this wine was. Then he shook his head, "The Mummy thought I was terrifying? Well, that's an interesting thought," he said cheerfully, "And don't worry, I'll deal with that situation just fine... regardless of who I'm up against," he told the woman, but still he felt the need to take a very heavy swig of his wine, pouring himself more immediately.

Jess paused as she noticed his brief increase in drinking; fortifying his will, perhaps. Not as confident as he thought. "...Perhaps we should call it a night so we can start early in the morning?" She suggested, taking a sip from her glass. "Plus, much more of this and I'll wake up with a rather nasty headache."

He nodded, leaving the glass where it was for the moment before he stood up, offering the woman his arm again. He had enjoyed this evening, and wouldn't mind it going on longer. She was right though, and he was starting to think he had forgotten to give this body a decent resistance to alcohol He hoped that she would allow him to play the part of the gentleman this time around and take hold of his arm as they walked back to town.

Jess was slightly unsteady, so she did allow him to be the gentleman this time around, and took his arm. The pair paid for their drinks, and she began tugging him towards the hotel. "...You know, it has been a lovely time so far. Even with the current circumstances." The professor commented almost absently, glancing towards the sky. It was rather late...At least she might be able to get a few hours before they had to leave.

The young man chuckled, "As did I, Lass," he said, an odd accent slipping through in his drunken state. The professor wouldn't recognize it, that language as well as the country that spawned that accent were long, long gone by now. He kept it in check usually, as it only caused people to ask painful questions. He was glad that she took his arm this time, smiling down at her casually as they walked along. "Hmmm, I bet that the girl will lay low for a little while," he mused, "We could leave quite late from the hotel tomorrow... if you wish," he said, a playful smile on his face, curious to how she would react.

Colt looked over at the shroomish on his shoulder. "What's the problem?" He said confused, but then noticed Tom walking towards the girls looking rather angry. He quickly placed himself in front of the Ursaring. "Woah there, just let things settle themselves. No need to do anything rash." He held his hand out palms forward, as if pushing him back. Colt had to think fast. "Sometimes, the best way to protect someone is to let them deal with things alone and not, you know, physically assault those who do anything wrong to them." Colt wasn't very good with words, and he hoped that he wouldn't get clubbed in the side of the head by a giant paw for saying the wrong thing.

Arietta sighed, "Mami, saved you because she loved you. Yes, she had other children, but she knew they would be okay. As long as they all lived happy lives. You're alive because your mother wanted you to be alive, right? Don't you think you mom would have wanted all of her children to be happy? Do you think your mother would have wanted you to be happy right now, instead of crying about her? She'd want you to smile like you used to before her death, and remember her for what she was. Your mom wanted you alive, even if it met her life."

Jess raised a brow at the accent, but didn't ask about it. Maybe she was drunk and misheard it, or something. As for his 'question', she caught his meaning...But pretended otherwise. "Hmm, I wouldn't mind sleeping in a while...I've been needing my sleep."

Tom glared down at the boy, and raised his paw to swipe him out of the way... but... The large Ursaring sighed and the sat down on the ground. he glared at the boy. Tom would wait for now, give Arietta a chance to settle this... but is she made Mami cry again, the girl would be meeting her god a lot sooner than she would like.
Mami listened to the other girl speak. A part of her wanted to ignore those words and just keep crying, a selfish part. Instead, she slowly turned to face the older girl, listening to those words silently. Mami rubbed at her chin, and then then slowly pulled away from the tree, wincing in pain. The bark had marked her skin clearly, a sign of how tightly she had been gripping the tree. Ignoring that, Mami looked at Arietta, not sure what to say to her. She bit her lip, and then sighed, "I'm sorry for how I acted," she murmured, hoping that the other woman could forgive her.

Seamus smirked at her, "Oh? You actually intended on sleeping? Well, I suppose, if that's what you're into," he said, pulling her a bit closer to him, "I can think of more interesting ways to pass the night away," he teased, loving a chance to just play around and act normal... it was quite a change of pace from his usual life.

Colt held his breath and closed his eyes as Tom raised his paw. He opened his eyes, and exhaled deeply as the Ursaring sat down. Colt stayed standing where he was, just in case the Ursaring changed his mind. "Good eye there, Cob. That could have been bad." He gently patted the shroomish on his head.

Seamus chuckled, "I suppose you're not... pity," he said, smiling softly as they entered their hotel. He hummed as they went up in the elevator, "You can't blame a man for trying," he said casually, not really disappointed. He had more or less expected that answer. He led her to her room, "So, I suppose I'll see you in the morning... unless of course you happen to change your mind," he joked easily, not minding either way.

Arietta nods, "It's fine, but you shouldn't just run off like that! We get worried about what could happen if you get lost!" A smile appears on her face, "But come on, lets get going again." She hugs Mami and turns around, knowing Colt would be there. She waves at him, signaling it's fine to come over.

Tom chuckled a little at the annoyed look on Bob's face when the human got his name wrong again, and began drawing in sunlight. He'd show this kid what a cob was... Bob didn't know what that statement meant, but he was going to do it, just you wait.
Mami nodded softly, following behind Arietta. She sniffled a couple more times before reaching out to tug on Arietta's sleeve. Whether the other girl turned around or not, Mamin wrapped her arms around her friend, needing a hug from a person. Trees were nice, but they never hugged back... and that more than anything was what Mami needed at the moment.

Colt walked over to the girls as Arietta waved at him. "Things all settled?" Colt looked at Mami. She seemed to be doing better. "Well, if things are better, then we should get going. We aren't far off from our destination now that we've passed the storm."

Tom moved in front of Arietta, giving her a look that was very clear, 'Don't make my friend cry,' although it would come out far less polite than that. Mami went and hugged the bear, dispelling his anger instantly, before she went to grab Bob, distracting him long enough so that the sunlight he had been gathering drifted back into the sky before he could put it to use... crud.
"So, we're heading to ...Um, what's it called again?" Mami asked, looking at the other two, not sure what they should do next... she was recovering though, so all they had to do was point her in the right direction, she'd get to where they needed to go eventually.

Colt smiled, happy that things turned out peacefully. "we're heading to Fallarbor Town. It isn't very far up ahead." He removed his goggles and his pokemons. "There you can enter in a pokemon contest." Colt turned and started walking. "Let's go!" He was happy everything was normal, at least for now. He completely forgot he was angry at Arietta at the moment.

Arietta smiles, and thanks the gods that Colt somehow had managed to forget his rage at her and not rip her head off in a violent fashion, "Yeah!" Arietta follows Colt, remembering to remove her own goggles. Moraya had taken hers off sometime ago, and Scim was glaring at Tom. The pokemon had a giant type advantage over the ursaring, and wouldn't hesitate to protect his friend from the pokemon. He gets close to Arietta as they walk, ensuring that he has her back. Moraya blinks when she smells ash in the air, looks up and yips. Arietta looks up, "Oh, wow, there's ash in the air!"

Tom was not intimidated by Scim in the least, regardless of how much of an advantage the pokemon had over him. Tom knew one thing, and it was the only thing he needed to know: Human's were fragile. If he needed to punish Arietta, it would take only one moment. He wouldn't do anything about that now though. Possibly ever... in spite of how Mami had reacted jus moment's ago, she was clearly very attatched to the disciple of Yveltal.
Mami looked at the ash around them and sighed... again they were going to be away from greenery... oh well. "Um... Are there any forests near here?" She asked randomly, feeling far more comfortable in the deep forest than anywhere else.

Colt puts his hand out so he catches some ash. "No, there aren't many forests for a while. We don't need to be in fallarbor long, so after the contest we can just keep on moving." He could tell the girl really liked forests. As he walked through the ash covered grass, he saw a few pokemon walk, or more accurately stumble, towards them. "Well what do you know, I've never saw a spinda before." There were 4 of them, all with different spots on their faces and ears, all looking like they were about to fall down any second. He didn't really have an urge to catch one, but he found them entertaining.

Arietta stared at the Spinda, "Huh, they travel in packs here, too." She giggles at the pokemon, "We have them in Kalos, and they're notorious for attacking in groups of 6." She laughs lightly, "Completely adorable." Moraya stares at them, and begins to get dizzy from watching their erratic movements. Scim stares at the pokemon, vaguely interested in their movements. "Have you been to Fallarbor before, Colt?"

Mami ran ahead and began hugging the silly bears randomly, "They look a lot like Tom when he was young," she said, not too concerned about them being wild. She could usually tell when a Pokémon was of the violent type, and these little dizzy bears didn't strike her as the type. She poked one on the nose randomly, "You look just like a friend I have back home... only she's a girl," Mami told him cheerfully, having forgotten about her troubles, at least for now.

Seamus Walker
Seamus shook his head, such a pity. Oh, well, perhaps later. For now, he needed rest, or rather Meditation... he had to run a kind of 'diagnothic' on this new body of his. He had added a few 'extras' and he needed to be sure they worked properly. Especially if he was going to face that girl... It was a pity that she had to die, but Seamus already had a chip on his shoulder when it came to Disciples... he had no patience for Zealots.
On the other hand, that girl, Arietta... She seemed to take her responsibility seriously, but didn't allow it to control her... a very interesting girl indeed. Well, he would think about it later. No need to think too heavily on her... not for now anyway.

"No, I haven't been to fallarbor." He watched as one of the Spindas tripped over a rock and fell down. "I haven't been in Hoenn very long, so most of the places we are going to visit are new to me as well." Lucifer walked over to the fallen Spinda, smelling it, and jumped back as the Spinda rose and started to dizzily move about. Colt gave a short chuckle.

Arietta nods, then looks around at the groups surroundings- and noted that there was about 20 spindas now. Scim chitters, and Moraya backs into Arietta. "Umm, There's a lot of spindas..." She starts walking forward, not liking how the Spinda were enclosing them in, "We should get-" Arietta trips on a large object, and falls to the ground with a loud squeak. She pauses, and takes note that the thing she tripped on was not a thing, but a very, very tall man. The man seemed to had collapsed- and awhile ago, by the layer of ash on his back. "Oh gods!" Arietta scrambles to get up and flips the man over, "Are you okay?" She shakes him, but there's no answer. She checks his pulse by putting her head to his chest, and is relieved to hear a slow, strong heart beat- and steady breathing. "He's alive."

Mami looked at her friends, wondering if they had a right to be nervous... but Mami didn't feel scared of them, even now. She couldn't talk to Spinda or any other Pokémon, but still... Spinda were Forest Pokémon, and she had never been attacked by a Pokémon in the forest, not for the whole time that she had travelled here from Kalos.
Mami rushed forward when he heard that a man had been injured, but froze, he eyes locked on Arietta, not sure what the woman would do... Was this person past this 'due date'? If he was, should Mami try to protect him? She just waits to see what the other woman will do, not able to think of anything, not even realizing that she was holding her breath.
