Gwyn nodded. "I see... Where would I find this Crypt?" He stood back up straight and whistled at his Herdier. It came around and stood by his leg. There were a few more questions he could ask, like if he had any enemies or if anything had happened before in his life, but he didn't expect the kid to know too much more. Plus, Gwyn was beginning to get a little twitchy. It had been almost a week since the last time he 'interrogated' someone, and the whole mystery of this town was making him anxious, similar to a drug addict going through withdrawal.

Ryce hooted and took several pictures. Some of the people in the graveyard, some of the landscape, some of the town. The place was beautiful. Ryce turned back to the town. He decided to stay out for another couple hours. Or even the whole night. Ryce wasn't a daytime pokemon.

The woman chuckled, keeping an eye on the pokemon out of the corner of her eye. She gave him a smile and nod in return to his grin, then went to the aisle to put everything back where it should be. Picking up the foam sword - a green one, shaped like a Honedge minus the sheath and fabric - the shop owner paused. Well, it wasn't like the sword was in great demand...And there were others...She went to the front of the store, foam sword in hand, opened the door to where the Ralts was still pondering his next move, and set the toy down beside him. If he would let her, she'd pat his head gently. "Take care." Afterwards, she'd simply close the shop door, check the time, sigh, and begin the evening ritual of tidying up the empty store for closing.
"Er, it's in back with the others. I gotta get back to work before it gets too dark, though." The boy answered, nodding towards his Murkrow, now fully awake. "Charon here can take you there. But you gotta leave when he starts cawing so I can lock the gates. We don't let anyone wander around the cemetery at night. It's not safe." Once more, he spoke plainly and truthfully; his last words had no ulterior meaning or threat behind them, he just didn't want anyone getting hurt in the cemetery.
The sun was creeping closer to the horizon, orange and red hues staining the clear blue sky. Many of the shopkeepers and business owners seemed to be cleaning up and getting ready to close for the night, save for the local bar near the hotel. It had opened up in the afternoon, with only a few local regulars so far. Business would pick up after the stores closed, their owners often in need of a drink for whatever reason. With a plain front and only a weathered sign above the door, it wasn't common for tourists to pass by the pub without knowing what the building was...At least, until one of the regulars inevitably stumbled out, reeking of booze and smoke. They usually picked up it was a pub after that.

Gwyn nodded to the boy. "Thanks for the help. I'll find out what happened to your father eventually, don't worry." He turned and followed the Murkrow to the crypt. Gwyn thought as he walked through the cemetery. He decided that he would probably stay over night if he found anything of note in the crypt, depending on what it was. What he expected to find there? Well, he had the basic crime scene stuff in mind; bodies, weapons, drugs, anything that would cause someone to possibly drag a body over there. Of course, the man could have walked in himself, but even then body wasn't ruled off.

Ralts smiled after the sword was given to him, a weappon he could use against foes, he wouldn't need to rely on his psychic attacks. As the woman patted him he smiled. Ralts' reacted to how the people felt around it being happy when people around it were or hiding when there was certain forms of conflict. This woman was really nice but he felt like there was something on her mind, as if there wasn't many kids going to the store or she wasn't making much business. He walked away slowly pondering ways that he could help. Surely there would be a way to advertise the small toy store. This was a form of vacation spot and what kid wouldn't want toys as a souvenir. As ralts walked walked down the beach front he arrived at the treeline and before entering the tropical like forest he used the foam sword spinning around and cutting thought the trunk of the tree. It began to fall and was caught by another tree. He smiled as he walked away toward the camp resting the blade on his shoulder.
As he made it back to camp he was welcomed back and they began to eat dinner before resting back as the sun began to fall. Nidoran fell to sleep quite fast and eevee shortly after but ralts was still wondering how to thank the woman. Normally humans would pay for a toy like this but ralts had no money. He eventually figured he could maybe create something to put outside of the store that may draw more people to the area. When he was sure Eevee and Nidoran were fast asleep he walked over to the tree he had cut down earlier. He jumped on the angled trunk and as he ran up to the top. He then ran back down making swift cuts turning the large tree into multiple large logs. He stopped for a moment to look around seeing no one in sight and used confusion quickly to position the logs in a row upright. As much as he hated psychic powers this was for the greater good so it didn't worry him.He would start carving out these wood blocks throughout the night using his disciple powers to harden his foam sword enough to cut and carve.

Charon landed on top of the Crypt and nodded towards the back of it, keeping his sharp eyes on the stranger. Gwyn would find nothing of interest, it seemed. The 'crime scene' was over two weeks old, and appeared to have already been inspected by the police. Some faint remnants of trampling were being buried under the regrowing grass; it was faint and constricted, meaning the struggle had been brief and over quickly. There was no blood or anything else suspicious, though it was likely the police had gathered it as evidence before rain washed it away. Not much to go on now, and unless there was another attack soon, it was unlikely he'd get anything fresh.
The toy store's lights went out, its owner locking the door as she exited the building. Unlike many of the other shops, she didn't live above her store; instead, she lived down the street, currently sharing a home with her nudist father and his Mr. Mime. At least he tended to keep his nudity to the backyard after the last visit from the police...He really should know by now to not bother her at work without pants on. And that boxers did NOT count as 'pants'.
The lights were out when she arrived at the pleasant two-story townhouse. That was odd; normally he left the porch light and living room light on before going to bed. Old coot must've forgotten again. The woman sighed and shook her head, unlocking her front door and entering the abode. She flipped on the light and re-locked the door behind her; it could be dangerous at night, even in this small town. "Dad, I'm home! You still awake?"
No answer. Must've fallen asleep fast. She headed to the kitchen, took out a few stir-fry ingredients, and began to make herself some dinner. The smell of delicious meats and veggies began to fill the house, eventually creeping upstairs. The woman began humming to herself, letting the dish simmer in the pan as she prepared a plate and drink to go with her food. Just after she transferred the meal to her plate, she heard a small crash in the backyard. The woman sighed, popping a piece of fried carrot in her mouth before looking out the window. She didn't see anything in the dim glow from the window...Perhaps a shadow in the corner, likely a wild Litleo or Zigzagoon that found its way into her yard. Again. She grabbed a broom from the cupboard and opened the back door, leaving it open as she stepped out into the night.
...It was colder than the forecast said it would be. Strange. The light from the door helped illuminate the backyard a bit more, though the shape in the far corner was still hard to see. Four legs, so a pokemon at least. The shape wasn't anything she was used to; maybe it was lost? She crept towards the pokemon, her broom still in front of her for 'defense.' Was it getting colder?
"Hey! Get out of here! Shoo!" The pokemon's head seemed to move, but the pokemon didn't. Stubborn little guy(girl?). Gaining a bit of confidence, she stepped closer, poking in its general direction with the broom's bristles. She made a few other, softer noises to try and scare it away, not hearing the steps behind her...Sweet mother of Arceus, it was COLD.
Slowly, she realized she couldn't move. She had been slowing down gradually since she stepped into the backyard, but only noticed her frozen state when she tried to turn, now hearing the footfalls on the grass behind her. She tried to call out; she couldn't. Frozen in fear or from this dreaded effect, the woman was trapped.
The monster struck.
The woman was gone.
The monster and companion vanished into the night. The backdoor sat open, the smell of stir-fry wafting into the warm tropical night.

Gwyn sighed as he looked at the crypt. He should've expected not to find anything of use. The towns police force did their job at the very least. Gwyn scratched his beard as he left the cemetery. It seemed that finding anything at previous crime scenes would be almost impossible. The best chance he had was to keep asking questions until he found a lead. as he looked into the darkened night sky, he noticed what seemed like a man passed out drunk at the door of a building. 'Guess this is the towns local bar.' Gwyn thought to himself, then veered into the hotel. Maybe tomorrow he would go for a drink. He walked up to the reception desk of the hotel. "Do you have any open rooms I'll be able to stay in? I plan to stay for three to four days."

Ryce spotted the pub, and was about to fly towards it when he noticed something peculiar. It was in the Nudest's back yard- some ice. It was melting fast, as the temperature of the town was rather warm at the moment. He swooped down and took a picture of it- not noticing anything else odd about this ice other then the fact it was there, and flew off again. Perhaps it was just some ice thrown out?

The gentleman running the front desk perked up whenever the detective entered, nodding firmly as he asked for a room. "Ah, we most certainly do, sir! Let me just check to see which rooms are available." He opened his guestbook - seemed he preferred the old-fashioned way - and scanned through it. "Room 24 is available. A lovely third-floor room, overlooking Main Street." There were also rooms on the second floor, but those were also occupied mainly by women...And, well, he WAS old-fashioned. Overall, he wasn't lying in the least, if Gwyn worried about that for some strange reason.

Eventually Ralts finishes off the creation having made multiple statues of pokemon that were bound to draw the attention of people walking by. There was a pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander and a Squirtle as well as many small wooden figurines that people could buy that were small versions of the wooden statues that were larger than ralts was. He hid the wooden statues so that no one would see them and went to sleep with the other pokemon making sure not to wake them up. He hoped that the nice woman would appreciate the gift and hopefully it would draw intrest in the small store that seemed quite empty.

Gwyn nodded, content with the answer. "Sounds good to me. Thanks." Gwyn took the key for the room and headed up to his room, opting for the stairs. From what he could tell, the only way he would get new information on the case was to start asking people around the town. As Gwyn reached his room, his hand shook as he went to unlock the door to his room and enter. He immediately closed the door and went into the bathroom, running the tap and splashing his face with water. He wasn't doing too well. Often, if Gwyn hadn't tortured anyone in a while, he would go through withdraw. It had become a sort of addiction for him. Gwyn sighed as he looked into the mirror.

The rest of the night was fairly uneventful. A little while after the monster had taken its latest victim, a neighbor noticed the open backdoor to the woman and her nudist father's home, along with a pokemon rummaging around inside it, and called the police. By morning, the house was an active crime scene, with several officers combing the house and backyard for evidence.
The hotel was a short ways away from the house; the owner and his family soon noticed the police going by in the wee hours of the morning, and placed a short note over the breakfast table, warning guests to stay safe and be smart if they went out at night. A thoughtful gesture, at least. The table itself was laid out with the usual fare; plain pastries, plastic wrapped utensils, a small fridge folding butter packets, milk, and orange juice, packets of jam and jelly, some cereal and bowls...What one would normally find at a continental breakfast. Coffee was served at the front desk, and seemed to be what was fueling the young woman waiting at it.
The toy store, as one could imagine, was closed, despite several other stores opening shortly after the sun rose, or even at the break of dawn. A man tried to knock on the store's door to deliver a package, shrugged, and left the package outside before continuing on his delivery route, his Gogoat pulling a modern cart containing the deliveries. Everything as it should be, even with death looming above the town constantly.

Razailia was woken up the the 'taptaptap' of a beak on her window. She looks up to see Ryce, looking satisfied. Smiling, she got up and went to the window to open it. Ryce jumps in and bounces to the center of the floor, allowing her to take off the camera. Razailia gladly takes the thing off, pats the large bird and returns him to his spherical home. Taking the camera, she heads downs to the breakfast bar. She'll look through it after she gets food. Looking up, she notices a man with flowing locks of blond hair and rippling muscles. She was about to shrug it off, when she noticed that it was actually a woman. Almost frantically she searches for her notes- but to her despair, she left it in her room. Sighing, she quietly take a picture of the very manly woman and sits down with her food.

Soon after Raza sat down, laughter and footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs. Two young women, one from the fountain yesterday and the other her dark-skinned friend, came from their room upstairs. The paler woman was still impeccably dressed and now followed by a floating, jingling set of keys. Her friend had a simpler look, though it seemed she had gotten some style pointers from her more fashionable friend. The pair headed towards the breakfast bar, Raza able to overhear a fairly normal conversation about their plans for the day; shopping, exploring the area, flirting with a cute guy or two, the usual.
The dark-skinned woman was around the same age, perhaps a year older, and had none of the 'off' air about her that her friend did. However, the 'off' young woman seemed, well, normal this morning. She only had a glass of orange juice and a light pastry, but she seemed like the kind to watch her weight regardless. But, laughing and chatting with her friend, with what appeared to be a genuine smile on her face, one could almost forget the vibe she put off yesterday.

As Gwyn rose from his bed, still slightly dizzy due to his 'withdraw', he noticed a lot of commotion coming from his window. Intrigued, he got dressed and exited the hotel, skipping breakfast and ignoring everyone in the lobby. Looking down the street, he noticed a house practically covered in cops. "This might be my chance to finally get something." Gwyn jogged over to the house, scanning to find the youngest officer on the scene, spotting an officer who couldn't be more than 24 standing by the front of the house. Gwyn pulled out his badge as he approached the young officer. "My name is Gwyn Ferris, I'm a detective from out of town. If you wouldn't mind, could you go get the police chief for me, tell him there is a detective that wants to see him? If you can't, get someone else who can." Gwyn was banking on the fact that a less experienced officer would be a little flustered with the situation and not ask too many questions. He just hoped the chief was somewhere close by.

"Er, s-sure, sir." The officer motioned for Gwyn to wait, then headed inside the house, still leaving a few officers outside watching. One of them looked over and raised a brow at the detective, but he was 'busy' keeping watch. About two minutes after the young officer went inside, he returned with an older woman behind him, stern and stressed. She seemed to be in her late forties, her short red hair greying and frayed. She was followed by an Electabuzz, who also appeared to not be in the mood for any of this crap. Her uniform was fairly tidy, though clearly rushed on, and a gold wedding band sat on her left ring finger.
"Chief Gloria Forrest. Make it quick, 'detective'." The chief snapped, her green eyes hard and piercing. A spark jumped between her pokemon's antennae, and the young officer went back to awkwardly keeping watch with the others.

Razailia looked at the two girls and took a sip of tea. She wondered if it was just because the woman was in a bad mood the day she seemed 'off.' It was still there, kind of. Razailia shrugs and starts to look through the photos. Ryce sure did take grea- wait, what's that? Raza stares at the picture for a long moment. Ice? Where would the owl find ice? And in a solid chunk like that? She lets Ryce out of his pokeball, and show him the picture. Ryce nods and flies to the door. Raza, with her camera, follows the bird to the crime scene investigation. Dodging some people to follow her pokemon, she follows it to the backyard, where Ryce lands just beside the spot where the ice was. Raza frowns, it wasn't there anymore. Wait, just what happened here. She looks for an officer, wanting to talk about the scene. Had another person disappeared?

As Raza tried to charge into the crime scene, several shouts of "Hey, kid! No access, shoo!" and various forms of that were heard. Chief Gloria turned around and snapped her fingers towards the girl, and her Electabuzz went into action. Raza, likely not noticing the stressed-out chief and her pokemon, likely wouldn't notice the Electabuzz charging up, and then firing, a thunderbolt straight at her. She WOULD very much notice getting shocked. Very, very shocked.

Razailia whimpered quietly and turned around, twitching lightly from the shock. She looks at her camera, and sighs in relief when she sees somehow it's still operating, and sees that the picture is still on the camera and opens it before abruptly fainting. Electricity sucks. Ryce hoots and flies over to her, picking up the camera and flipping it over, hoping that the police would see the picture of ice on it.

The youngest officer - 23 - decided to check up on the girl to make sure she was still breathing. The Chief didn't have much patience, even whenever their town WASN'T being harassed by some mysterious kidnapper...He checked her pulse, checked that she was still breathing, and was about to walk away before he saw the picture on the camera. He blinked, then picked it up, thinking it was just some artsy shot of ice. Then he noticed the footprints in the grass, ones that matched those in the backyard, and half-jogged into the home to speak with their forensic team.

Gwyn watched as the chief electrocuted the author he had met the night before. He better be careful with what he said, because she obviously wasn't very patient. "My names Gwyn Ferris, and I couldn't help but notice that something seems to have happened here. I'm a detective, so I could help you figure this thing out, help alleviate the stress. If you just allow me to search the crime scene and give me access to information pertaining to the disappearances I can start my investigation. Besides, there isn't really much of a downside of having an experienced detective on the scene of a crime, now, is there?" Gwyn tapped his foot nervously as he talked. The whole situation was stressful, from his addiction to dealing with a stressed out chief had him on edge.

Each of the pokemon woke up quite energized except for nidoran who never really did seem to get the best sleep. As they stretched they ate and then began to talk about what they might do today. Ralts obviously had his own plans but the other two weren't quite sure what to do yet. Ralts told the other two he had his own plans and still wanted to look around so they let him go as they pondered what they would do. Maybe just relaxing on the beach and swimming would be the best for today. It was a beautiful day and they had the whole day to just relax.
Ralts decided he would head over to the store first. He woke up later so the store would be bound to be open by this time and he could make sure the lady was still in there and would be able to fully appreciate his gift. He had his foam honedge shaped sword on his back as he walked over o the store only to find that it was still closed. He walked up to the door and found that no one was inside at all with the lights off and everything. What was this? was she just not coming in today? He figured that if he walked around town a bit more he could relax a bit more, and who knows word can travel fast he might be able to overhear why the store isn't open today. Maybe some form of festival.

The Ralts would found that the other stores were, in fact, open today, though there was some sort of commotion at a house down the street...Including a girl getting thunderbolted, apparently.
The Chief looked stern and...Chiefly. "Yeah, I've heard that story too many times to trust it. Badge? Previous forces worked on?" She asked; she would've gotten a lot more in depth, but at least with just that much information, she could have someone look him up on the database. Especially if he had worked in Kalos, maybe Unova if they felt like cooperating today.

Gwyn pulled out his badge and handed it to the chief. "Driftveil city in the Unova region. When you search me up you'll see that I'm perfectly fit to be do what I am supposed to do." This was something Gwyn had to do almost every time he showed up investigating a case. Of course, he was never against it. Not like they would find anything except his achievments as an officer and detective. One of the advantages of being an officer is that it made things a lot easier to hide what you needed.

Ralts found it odd that there were other stores open today it was an odd thing to see but then he heard the sound of a thundebolt attack seeing a girl being knocked down by the attack. He rushed over to see what was going on hiding behind ta pole as he looked out to see what was going on.
Meanwhile Eevee and and nidoran ran around in the sand playing some form of tag game they ran around making a fair bit of noise but trying not to annoy the humans that may have been relaxing on the beach

The Chief nodded and took out her radio. "Background check, Gwyn Ferris, detective from Driftveil City in Unova. Mid-forties." There was a pause, and someone replied. "Yes, male...Yes, it's an odd name for a man, just look it up." She sighed in aggravation, muttered some type of Kalosian curse, and waited for a reply. "If the check runs clean, I'll let you in. Just don't touch any evidence, watch where you step, the usual drill. My guys are in there getting pictures and reports; if it's anything like the other disappearances, though, don't get your hopes up for anything exciting."
The beach had a bit of a crowd, even this early in the morning. Mostly fishermen, with a few swimmers and vacationers arriving to bask in the sun. A few of the humans chuckled at the pokemon playing, but they didn't seem to be disturbed or annoyed. There was another pokemon at the beach, a Poochyena, who was originally with his trainer at the water...Before coming out of nowhere and tackling Eevee, still wet.
"TAG!"
Seems he was playing now, judging by the way he bolted off. His trainer looked around frantically for a second or two, then relaxed, seeing his dear pokemon was just playing with some others.

Eevee lauged as he was knocked down. It was quite unexpected but he got back up shaking off a little as he faced back toward the poochyena. "I'll get you back." Eevee called out as he charge off going to tag poochyena while nidoran kept his own distance from eevee not wanting to be tagged himself. Nidoran smiled as he watched eevee frantically chasing after poochyena and as Eevee tags poochyena he begins to run back toward nidoran leading Poochyena toward him.
Meanwhile Ralts walks over to the girl who had just been shocked and tried to help her up off her feet. He asked what happened but she probably wouldn't be able to understand the what he actually asked. He looked back to see what had shocked her, and maybe a reason why she had been shocked.

Gwyn nodded. "Anything is better than nothing. Sometimes the lack of evidence is the best evidence one can have." He looked around, folding his arms. "It definitely seems you guys are thorough. By the way, Have you got any intriguing information from interrogations, or anything that seemed suspicious? I'm wondering because I can re-question someone a lot easier than I can re-search a crime scene. Maybe I could pick up some new information. Of course, you don't have to tell me until the background check comes back." It didn't seem that there would be any witnesses for this crime; It seemed that the disappearance happened late at night, hence why he didn't notice it. However, there were bound to be some people that were questioned that gave odd answers, or at least he hoped so.

Slowly Razailia came to, and blinked once, twice, then sat up. Ryce lets out a relieved hoot and helps her up. She sees her camera gone and sees the satisfied look on her pokemon's face, and assumes her job at the scene for the moment was done. She's want to get her camera back, though. The people in it were to precious to just give away.
